Default Not the case in this case.....

The DV is still opening quite easily at the transition between vacum and boost. 5mm worth of spring shim is not drastically altering the DV characteristics. I've got a boost gauge and have been watching this. If you're worried, don't do it. It's that simple. The problems outlined here are primarily tricks to get a BOV to function in what is supposed to be a closed (DV) type system.
Nobody recommends a BOV for this car.

I put in a 13mm shim and it's fine. Did some VAG-Com runs and everything is ok. Turbo responds much better in the lower revs.
