Default Turbo disconnect

Hi, I have a 2001 TT 225 hp and i would like to just temporally disconnect the turbo from kicking in, so i can get my smog check taken care of. The simplest way would be most welcome.

I don't see how removing the turbo boost gets you thru a smog test.

The ECU map is expecting a certain amount of air and fuel at a given RPM, your car might do fine at low RPMs (no boost) but anything above that is probably going to throw a code.

thats not really the problem. When they try to run the test at 2500 rpm the turbo kicks in and won't let the car run at 2500 for long enough to accomplish the test. They can't put it on the dino because it's a Quattro so they have to run the test on the floor. every time it reaches 2500 the rpm's jump up and the test hast to be run at 2500.

In this state the test is run via the OBDII port never been a problem for me. I assume that there are more than one TT in your state so they have either seen this problem before or there something wrong with your specific car.
