i finally had a chance to cruise in my new TT with the windows down(bought the car in NOV, havent had 1 day where it's been warm enough to do so), and with the windows down i finally heard a faint taste of what i've been hoping to hear for a long time... turbo whoosh it was really faint, but definitely there.. my question, is there any way to amplify that? do the 225s have a different turbo? i know its a rediculous question and that common sense says no, but i finally got a taste of that beautiful sound, and i'd sure like it to be a little more audible!

On cold days I can hear it spool pretty clearly. One of the Stage 3 guys posted a sould clip of their car with aftermarket downpipes, cats and a large diameter exhaust(and of course the big freaking turbo) and you could hear the turbo spool very clearly, very cool

I have an '01 225. I hope that's normal and not indicative of a problem! I love that noise.

My 225 is almost silent. Compare that to my supercharged Miata that sounds like a Boeing 747 spooling up!

Not only can you hear the woosh from the turbo but you also get cool noises from the tires squeeling and the exhaust rumbling.
