Uh oh... ABS Warning Light is on...
Came on after slipping around in the snow in the alleyway getting into the garage. The ABS activated once and after I parked I noticed the light. Tried resetting fuse #9 (hoped that electronics became "confused") but no luck.
Aside from the obvious response ("SEE DEALER!"), can anyone help? Is this a gremlin like the dash gauges/lights? Thanks, Steve. '00 Raven TTQ, V1(RAA+CDM), StarTAC, GPS |
Re: Uh oh... ABS Warning Light is on...
I don't own a TT yet, but if it's like any other car I've owned with ABS, it's supposed to do that. It's a signal that the vehicle has lost traction (typically in wet weather) and the ABS is working to restore that. It normally stays on for a few seconds or so even after traction has been restored.

Re: Uh oh... ABS Warning Light is on...
My ABS light used to come on when I first got my TT, usually after I had reached a certain speed. The problem was traced to a faulty speed sensor, and was duly replaced. This cured the problem.
Hope this helps, John. |
