Default Update on my tire problem

Well. after finding out that my front tire was defective, I contacted a few places for replacement and ended up finding the tire ( 225/40-18') at the Audi Dealer. Called 'em up and they told me they had it. After gettin' there, the story was diff, they THOUGHT they had it but had to order for the following day, the following day came, again, the story was diff. Because it's such a special tire, it would take 5 days. I got upset and told 'em I was not driving one more mile on the doughnut and gave them a few minutes to come up with an idea, their excuse was that the high performance tires crack very easily ( wow, how safe )and they decided to remove a set of 16"s from another TT and put on My ALMS till the tire arrives...doesn't look good but....

I paid 153 dollhairs for Tire insurance and it already paid off ( after only 1077 miles)the tire would have cost me 220+taxes Dollhairs.

anyhow, always check your tires and don't be timid at the dealership...

sounds like a good idea. i would have assumed the tire company would warranty this. sure sounds like a manufacturing defect. tc
