Default Update on those Piloti shoes

Well, winter has come and gone (mostly), and I've had these piloti shoes for about 6 months now. I had posted about them when I first got them, explaining that they were excellent for driving (their primary function), but they were also serving as excellent daily-wear shoes. Now that I've gone through a Chicago winter (although milder than usual), I can honestly say these shoes are awesome all year around, in the car and out. For driving, they just give you a much better feel of where your feet are, which is what their purpose is.

For daily wear, especially in snow and ice, I never once had a problem with slipping around. I suppose I'm over-analyzing something that is pretty trivial (shoes), but I wanted to share with you guys how impressed I am with these shoes. To top it off, the pair I have, has little silver eyelets for the laces, and wouldn't you know it, each silver eyelet has 8 little dimples around them, making them look identical to our air vents. I highly recommend these shoes, and they were well worth the $80 I paid for 'em. They also show no signs of wear, and look almost the same as when I bought them, including the tread. They're definitely built to last. This was one of my major concerns when I got them, as they seemed kind of less-than-rugged, but they've held up beautifully.

If you're in the market for a new set of shoes, get a pair. They're well worth it.

I like the DTMs(but not the colors) so just bought a pair of Monaco's in gray/black. Good stuff!

Default Well..

I have wide feet, more or less, and they fit me just fine. The size also ran about "normal". I'm a 12-12.5 in men's (yea yea, bigfoot), and I order 12.5's, which fit just fine. They took a bit of getting used to, since I used to wear Vans, and those tend to be much wider shoes. Once I got used to them though (a day or two), they were comfortable as anything, and fit just fine.

From what I've read, you seem to be an avid driver. I'd highly recommend these just for the added benefit of pedal-feel, not to mention all the other benefits of these shoes.
