Default V8 in TT...??

Read this today from road&track.com
"New Audi V-8 Coupe
With the dramatic success of the new Audi TT coupe, the company from Ingolstadt, Germany, is said to be seriously considering a larger version of that car powered by one of its V-8 engines. Based on the S6's chassis, this TT-like V-8-powered coupe would be a bona fide 4-seater, one whose body contours are a bit softer than those of the TT. —Andrew Bornhop"

Default The Avus (project name): there was a brief write-up in Automotive News a week or 2 ago >

Not a TT since it is much bigger - more of a luxury coupe. Seemed like Audi was inclined to move forward with it. There was a photo (I don't think it was computer generated). It looked like a TT stretched out over an A6 chassis.

Default Build upon the success of the TT - why not?

All the other Audi's have the same basic curves, why not build upon this new design foundation? Isn't that what a concept car is all about? Exploring new design directions that become themes for a product line?
