VenTTed: How do those Hella horns sound? Good? How do they install? easy to do?

They sound like Porsche horns do -- kinda retro and very loud.
 

Mine broke, though.


They seem to have the same life span as the damned stock horns. =/

How do they install? Plug and play...or some wire splicing?

AFAIK, plug and play. They were done when the car was being painted.
 

Since the front end was off, I just handed them to my painter and said 'have at it.'

so it takes a little creative mounting...once i put my FMIC in, i relocated them to the passenger side intercooler mount....needed some extra wire but all in all, love them .

As far as sound goes, they sound more like a 70's or 80's 911...not a new P-car...and very european.....never had a problem with them.
