Default Vocabulary 101 . . . .

Funny story . . .

So, I'm at the Colorado Grand lunch stop pretty much minding my own business and ogling something
when David Crosby says something to me about a detail on the car he was riding in and I ask:

"How is that stroker motor you had built for your gt-350 working out?"

DC answers backL: "Haven't even driven it, now those guys have it on the twirly thingy and won't commit to a completion date."

WTF is a "twirly thingy" - any one know? Did he mean rotisserie (I can say but probably can't spell it, and if I could probably couldn't type it.) Do I need a twirly thingy for my car? (Pointy bra jokes are off limit.)

Default Let me 'splain: Twirly thingy is, I believe, analogous to "whirrly thing" in my lexicon.....

which is to say any of the numerous things that move in a car, but which in isolation do not move (so, not the driver or passenger or tires, Henri, etc) consummes non-replenishable foods only (gas, oil, lube, windshield wiper fluid), which if you removed from the car would still probably run, and which is often the subject of much debate amongst hotheads who are accountants by day, own many tools and generally haven't a clue...

j/k of course... ;-)

Default :-) a buddy in Aspen has a Shelby GT 350 that he bought brand new. in California.....

white with blue stripes. A very sweet car. If we ever hook up in the Roaring Fork Valley I can get you a look see.

Is a rotesserie (sp) like a frame jig to allow a square re-build?
