Several have made the switch from the Injen to a VTDA and reported improvements here. Maybe they'll chime in or you could do a search.
The Injen down in the grill is subject to water ingestion and hydrolock, as well as a need for very frequent cleaning as that envoirment is hard on an open filter. My experimentation (as well as others) has shown that the closer you can couple the filter to the MAF the better off you'll be...

Since my VTDA is PC'd I think you did ;-)
And I knew you'd make good if it was really a big deal. I figured I'd ask nicely the NEXT time I placed an order at the 'Shack which usually doesn't take long.
It was shortly after I got mine that you started "advertising" the black hardware but I was going to ask before that and forgot.
