Default Well....found the cause of my battery depletion........
I went to Sears this morning and bought a Die Hard International because the ol' battery up and died....

Throw the new one in, (radio is in safe mode now, by the way)...Go take it to get gas, walk around the back of the car and notice all 3 brake lights are on......Ding Ding Ding!.....Guess that's why I had a dead battery.

So, I pulled the brake light fuse until Monday when I can swing by the dealer for the radio code and hopefully a new brake light switch.

Any idea how hard those are to get to/replace and how much?

I believe it's a $10 part and takes 30 minutes to replace...

Drop the lower dash, switch is on a bracket. Rumor has it the VW dealer carries them by the bucket.

DO it yourself - my dealer charged $20 for switch 80 for labor..but I got 1/2 off
