Default Well, I just blew my chip fund on harnesses.

I chatted with Laurette at Stable Energies and ended up with Deist 6 point camlock harnesses in red. I went with the sixers because they use stock mounting points and I won't have to drill anywhere. The fives would need a bracket fabbed or some drilling. Since there wasn't a price difference (might have been $10), well, I went the easy route.

I know I'm going to get **** for getting harnesses instead of getting chipped, but I'd rather have track safety than more speed. The speed will come in time. =)

Laurette was very helpful and very knowledgable about their products and thoroughly answered all of my questions. Great company.

Default Truth be told.. the first mod to make you faster on track should be Harnesses

#1. It makes you safer in the event of an agricultural excursion.

#2. Makes you faster since your butt is now glued to the seat and you aren't hanging onto the wheel to keep yourself in the seat. Letting you concentrate on smooth transitions an proper line, making you faster.

Default Thanks for making me feel better about blowing the wad of cash...

So, when are WE installing them? =)

I should have them the first week of March.

Default I plan to order the FMIC, etc. next week so probably aroudn the 3rd or 4th weekend of March.

It's sort of contingent on how long it takes to get the new intake Extrude Honed and powder coated.

Default Very nice, that harness is on my short list

Already got the bar. I like the fact that the six point essentially bolts right in. I don't have any track time scheduled yet so I'll wait and see how your install goes.
