2002 1.8T GTI

Car built by Steve Soeder and Mark Mahan

Best dyno on race gas 391whp and 361 w ft/lbs @ 22psi

Best dyno on pump gas 380 whp and 333 w ft/lbs @ 24psi

Best 1/4 mile 12.51 at 118.3 at 23-24psi with 110 octane

Engine Specs:

1.8L AWP Stock long block

Turbo Specs:

ATP 20v cast turbo manifold

Custom 2.5" downpipe

T3/T4E 57 trim .60a/r compressor ; stage 3 turbine .48AR exhaust

3" cat back exhaust

Custom oil feed and return lines

Tial 35mm wastegate

HKS SSQ BOV

Greddy FMIC

42# Bosch injectors

4 Bar FPR

Turbo XS Manual Boost Controller

VR6 MAF to tame the injectors

REVO programing with sps3 device.



Misc Additional Specs:

Walbro 255 inline pump

Autometer carbon fibre gauges

Default That part I saw.. The only reason I still asked was because

under Misc. Additional Specs He says "more".. Maybe the more is simply minor stuff, but Im pretty shocked he was able to get this to actually work.. Once the Revo tuning kit is out he'll be pretty set..

Default I posted this yesterday

a good friend of mine just installed APR Stage 3 in his GTI 337.. 2 weeks later another friend went custom T304e with Revo SPS3 for about $1000 less and he is crapping all over the APR Race #'s on pump gas. Look at the ECS Tuning page. They upgraded the turbo on the APR Stage 3 kit and claim they are getting huge #'s. We dont have to wait like a bunch of castaways on Gilligans Island waiting for APR to drop a kit

its not magic to make it work...30k+ at 300+ wheel hp's.

Default Here here.. I agree...

I think that especially on a TT which doesn't have problems like many dubs do with higher boost levels even chipped could run a well set up stage 3 off a chip pretty nicely.
