What do they do with "lemmoned" cars?
I was just wondering what Audi (or any manufacturer for that matter) does with the cars that get lemmoned. Ship them back to Germany, dealer keeps them, crush them,...part them out for new TT's (ooooh)
Anyone know?

that depends...in some states they DON'T have to disclose it...
...further, a lot of manufacturers will send the lemoned car to a state that has lax titling policies, get it re-titled there, and then sell it with a clean title someplace else.
it stinks...but it's true :/

Typically the manufacturer will do EVERYTHING to not have it declared a lemon
So that means when you rant and rave and say it is a lemon they try to claim it was something you did to the car and they are not going to do anything for you. So at this point hire a lawyer who works lemon cases. He/she'll send a letter to the manufacturer and ususally a few days before the "trial" you get a settlement from the manufacturer...including the attny's fee.
It happened to me just that way. They don't want the lemon on their record.

While I agree that they will try do avoid a Lemon Law deal...
They also know when they're cooked. I did a Lemon Law claim against Audi, and by understanding the law, I put them in a position where there was NO WAY that they could prevail, and I'm certain that they knew that.
I think lawyers are a total waste of your money if the car plainly falls within the provisions of the Lemon Law, and you have done your job properly with respect to documentation and such.

I've written quite a bit on this. Follow the link and it will tell you what to do.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/50174.phtml">Lemon Law</a></li></ul>
