What exactly is a TT-S?
I saw one on my way to work this morning. It looked like a normal 225hp Quattro coupe, but it had an additional, larger spoiler on the rear hatch, and a large red S behind and slightly lower than the TT emblem, as well as a smaller badge underneath that I couldn't read.

To further clarify...
The TTS or STT is a long-rumored, higher performance version of the TT. Supposedly, it's coming within the next few years, but it hasn't been built for production release just yet.
I guess a few folks have made up or bought an aftermarket TTS badge and slapped it on their TTs. That's not something that I would do, but to each their own.
As a side note, the original prototype TT roadster was also called the TT-S, but that's not what folks are typically referring to when they write/speak of a TTS.

I don't know but have had a deposit on one since April 2001...
really. Actually what I was hoping for is not going to come about on the present TT platform so when the new platform debuts as a 06 MY my hopes will be raised again...so maybe my Ellanor 350 hp TT will come about.

It was a build change during the MY2001 production.
Early MY2001s have it, after that it was dropped.
Also, I've noticed at least 4 different steering wheels in a 2000, two different 2001s and the 3.2 I drove.
