Default What exactly is a TT-S?

I saw one on my way to work this morning. It looked like a normal 225hp Quattro coupe, but it had an additional, larger spoiler on the rear hatch, and a large red S behind and slightly lower than the TT emblem, as well as a smaller badge underneath that I couldn't read.

Default To further clarify...

The TTS or STT is a long-rumored, higher performance version of the TT. Supposedly, it's coming within the next few years, but it hasn't been built for production release just yet.

I guess a few folks have made up or bought an aftermarket TTS badge and slapped it on their TTs. That's not something that I would do, but to each their own.

As a side note, the original prototype TT roadster was also called the TT-S, but that's not what folks are typically referring to when they write/speak of a TTS.

Default I don't know but have had a deposit on one since April 2001...

really. Actually what I was hoping for is not going to come about on the present TT platform so when the new platform debuts as a 06 MY my hopes will be raised again...so maybe my Ellanor 350 hp TT will come about.

Default Can you clarify for me...

...why some TTs have an AudiSport steering wheel and others don't?
Thanks.

Default It was a build change during the MY2001 production.

Early MY2001s have it, after that it was dropped.
Also, I've noticed at least 4 different steering wheels in a 2000, two different 2001s and the 3.2 I drove.
