Default Hard to believe a 256 hp TT can't trash a 201 hp Boxster...

and if that's true, it's difficult to see what all the hoopla is about. Much less the $2K+ price to do the job. Disappointing, to say the least.

Default A 256 hp TT CAN trash a 201 hp Boxster...a probably be close to the Boxter S, I think my chipped 180

would take the Boxter as well. (If anyone has a Boxter in the NJ/NY area let's meet up and see...uhhh as soon as my Bailey valve arrives that is)

I will probably be doing the KO4 upgrade in some form within the next couple of months. I will definately take Mance's advice: get the 225 exhaust manifold and gasket match. For under $250 you'll probably get 10-15hp. Its a no-brainer, Audi's done the work for you!

I may go with MTM's K04 chip which is conservatively rated @ 232hp(so lets say 245hp with the 225 exhaust manifold) until I hear more positive reviews from other kits. I already have their 180 chip and like it a lot. Torque is what I like for everyday driving and the MTM chip has a ton of it(OK..maybe not a ton as it 'only' has 262 ft-lbs)

Next on the list would be the 225 intake with a front mount.

We all like to talk about these horsepower and torque numbers that the tuner's give to us, but what's really important is how the car feels to you and how it performs on a track whether it be a drag racing or road racing if that's your cup o tea.

Default You are right...

a 256 hp TT probably would accelerate faster than a 201 hp Boxster - now, if you could only figure out how to get 256 hp out of your TT, you'd be in business.

As far as your chipped 180 TT (I'm assuming it's a quattro) is concerned (based on recent Watkins Glen experiences with a "chipped" TT and a former race driver) you'd be hard pressed to "trash" my 250 lb heavier, taller geared, stock 2.8 A4 wagon!

Sorry about being so blunt, but, someone has to stop the madness!

Default I do have Quattro and I was speaking about straight line accerlation...what madness?

I've run 14.9 @ 89 at E-town...are you saying now that a 2.8 Avant is quicker as well as the Boxter. TT's are getting slower every week!

Sometimes former race car drivers are better at driving...well...race cars!

Word is your a pretty good driver yourself!
