Default Where to purchase the longitudinal and lateral sensors for my TT

I have a 2000 TT Qtr with 23,000 miles. Yes, only 23K. My ABS light came on and is staying on constantly now. I would like to change either the one or both sensors and hopefully get rid of the problem. I read some TTs have one sensor and some have two. One near the glove box and the other under the stering column? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. I do not have a Vag Com and only diagnosed the problem by reading the TT forum. Fun car. I may have to get a Audi A4 (2 liter FSI of course) as a back seat would be nice for my grown (high school age) kids. Bummer.

Default bad idea to just throw parts at it...

if you don't have a VAG Com, find someone who does and read the codes in the ABS control module. They will tell you exactly what the problem is. If it's the ABS light and not the traction light, it's much more likely to be a wheel speed sensor or the ABS control module itself.

Or Autozone will have a generic code reader.

Default You may not have a VAG COM, but I bet someone near you does...

Find them here and buy them a beer for the diagnosis.<ul><li><a href="http://vagcomlocator.com/tinc?key=cSZEvUVt&amp;formname=VAGCOM">http://vagcomlocator.com/tinc?key=cSZEvUVt&amp;formname=VAGCOM</a</li></ul>

Got it. Thank you. Question: Does this car have a traction light? I didn't think the 2000 TT Q had traction control? Thanks again.

Default Don't assume...>>

A light (ABS, ESP, EBC etc) will actually be related directly to the problem. Seemingly unrelated issues can illuminate these lights. You need to get the code read to be sure..

You will need the VAG-COM to zero out the new sensor once installed.

Default that only reads OBD II codes-- he needs to read codes specific to his ABS unit, therefore the

dedicated tool is required (VAG COM or OEM VAG diagnostic tool or similar)
