Yes, I searched... Couldn't come up with anything...
And NO, its not my after run coolant pump... It's the fans...
They just remained on for about a minute... I didn't drive hard at all.
Drove from work to the store (included freeway) ~ 10 minute drive...
Parked for 10 minutes
Then drove home (where I did sit at a bridge for ~5 mins)so ~10 minutes drive time again
76 degrees out...

Cooling fan will run based upon the coolant temp when you shut it down. If you were driving in t
traffic, the engine gets the coolant hot, but you aren't moving enough air through the radiator to dissipate the heat, so the fan kicks on.

Maybe...maybe not ..... it's an Audi afterall :-)
I noticed mine come on one day after driving home from work - they NEVER have come on during that drive even when it's over 100 degrees and the traffic was normal. I say - it's just a glitch.
Fan should come on when coolant temp hits 106.

I'll scan it this weekend just to see, either way I'm not TOO concerned>
i mean a fan coming on for a minute to cool things down isnt the worst thing in the world!

Mine also rarely run after switching off engine.
Almost never. I have noticed that if I turn off the climate control the temp will rise to one notch above center when idling stationary then the fans come on and temp returns to center. over and over. My opinion is that with the climate control on the fans run and keep the coolant temp below the fan on threshold, but that is just a theory based on observation.

That is correct - fans generally are on when ac is on, not sure if there is a temp trigger or not
meaning a lower threshold for them to come on with ac than without. I know that 106c is the threshold with ac off.
