will it hurt to run 110 leaded with my SPS3?
i know my car is meant to run unleaded, but the only reacing fuel around is all leaded. will it hurt my engine or my cats? just wondering thanks.

Besides quickly destroying the cat
it also damages and eventually destroys the oxygen sensor. (And I'm guessing that there might be some kind of federal law against this.)
|
Don't do it.
|
don't do it, the lead is how they get the octane numbers up...
destroys all sensors and emissions stuff.
|
I ran it once, but mixed 60/40 with 94 octane, wouldn't recommend..
doing it more than a couple times, I have no issues, that was about 10,000 miles ago.

How about running Sunoco Unleaded GT 100?
Leaded gas will indeed poison your catalyst - so don't do it!
Sunoco sells a 100 octane unleaded at a number of select service stations - you can check for nearby locations using the link below. Unfortunately for me the nearest station is about 40 mins away!

Sunoco Octane 100 Pump Locations

|
Can ya run that in a non-chipped 225? Will it adapt?
|
Without advancing timing my guess is that effect would be modest
but I'm not totally sure. On some chipped cars, like Revo with SPS (serial port switcher device), you can easily advance timing - they give you the settings for various octane ratings.
If U live near one of the stations, maybe you could try running down your tank and then trying a few gallons of the sweet stuff! Let us know! |
Will check it out... by the their map I'm 2 miles away ;-)...>>
Probably gonna get Revo2'd at TTE if I can.
