Default window control module problem?

2001 tt225

The windows randomly roll down, usually when humid or raining. The car has been in for service numerous times, but the refuse to fix the issue, unless I bring the car in with the issue. Since no data is loggged on non-critical sensors, they get no info from the 1552 after restarting the car.

I recently had the oppronity to take the car in with the issue, and warned the service writer to not turn the car off, or all my effort would be lost, so he turned the car off. Audi gave me the car back today, and told me i should "bring the car in with the problem occuring."

What should I do at this point. They have replaced regulators numerous times, on each side, when this is a known issue with teh air-bag module.

Thanks for the help.

Default next time the problem arises

take the car to the dealers, video tape the issue, document this w/ the service manager, insist on a warranty replacement of the control module - or else you will escalate w/ the problem.

It is a little overboard but it should work! :P

I've had my 02 225QC for exactly 3 weeks today.
3 days after I bought it I came out of my friends house to find the window down ~1-2 inches.
1 week later it re occurred. In between I had also noticed the right side marker light did not come on w/ the headlights - but flashed w/ the alarm.
I made an appointment w/ audi service ( which took a week to get a hold of). We'll see what they do.

I have had this problem on two TT's. By the time the dealer had figured out the problem, the first TT had already been lemoned. When the problem occured on the second car, they successfully repaired it by replacing ALL window modules as well as the trunk module AND reprogrammed the keys. According to Pacific Audi in Torrance, Ca., one component being replaced will not fix the problem. All components must be replaced and match. Audi has a service bulletin out for this and your dealer should be able to look it up and take care of it for you. Since they replaced all of these components, my windows have worked fine. Good luck!
