Default Window Tinting

I tried to have my windows tinted this weekend and couldn't get it done due to the little window drop feature when you open the door. Can this be disabled? Is my window tinter person a dork?

Default Yes he is.....

You just trigger the window back up by flipping the latch in the door with a screwdriver. Be sure to reset before slamming the door though....

but when you reset the latch won't the window drop again? the point the "tinter" was trying to make it that the windows could not be rolled down for a couple of days while the tint set. i don't honestly know that much about window tinting other than when she did my durango it came out very nice.
btw..thanks for your help.

Default I've had the windows tinted in both of the TTs I've owned; both were done sans any problems

and without disabling the window drop-down. I don't see that it should be an issue if your window tint guy is worth his salt. Suggestion: call your Audi dealership and find out whom they use when they get the windows tinted prior to delivery if so requested.

Default If your tinter is good and uses good film.....>>>

This should not be a problem. The film should run to below the bottom of the glass with the window up so there are no edges to catch. It is a good idea to let it set up for a few days though. Lots of us here have gotten windows tinted and this has never been reported as a problem...

Tint instal pics
