windshield

need to replace windshield on a 01 roadster. Wondering if i should put an audi winshield or go with an aftermarket windshield. Dealer quoted $650. Aftermarket around $250.

AFAIK, there is no aftermarket....aftermarket installers buy

them from Audi parts....and often misquote the replacement cost on the low end until they find out they have to pay Audi parts list minus 20% - or whatever their deal is.

There is an aftermarket windshield. My windshield was replaced after my accident with one from a company named Plinkerton. I asked them for all Audi Parts and that was the only one they could not get me without a long wait.

BTW not trying to cause any rifts, just sharing my experience..
