Default Windshield wiper question... would appreciate any advice

There's nothing functionally wrong with my TT's wipers (I think)... but in the last two weeks of nonstop rain, I've started to notice that the wipers squeak more and more. I'm talking about loud squeaks, not something small and ignorable.

I would clean the blade (brand new) with a clean dry cloth. I would clean the windshield with RainX. But the squeaks would still happen, whether in lite or heavy rain.

A friend of mine thinks maybe I'd gotten some car wax on the windshield and that is causing this. Can this be the reason? Doesn't sound right... and I'm not that bad at waxing.

Would really appreciate any advice. TIA

Default Maybe too much Rain-X?

I think that Rain-X makes a cleaner to remove excessive build-up... you might want to try that.

You mean the RainX windshield cleaning spray that I'm using can make it worse? D'oh!

Thanks.

I've heard that it can build up. I too use Rain-X, but sparingly.
