Default WOO HOO - almost happy, happy vacation time!!! :-)

<img src="http://eat.epicurious.com/images/home35/sbox_ill.jpg">

Well, not vacation so much as "escape the light-deprived evil hamster for a few days"... a rose by any other name, right? Anyhoo, I'm very excitable about turkey-day, as it is essentially a gluttony-centric holiday, which is a good thing in my books! I'm inspired to write some haiku to explain this (and all other) holidays, from my peculiar vantage:

Cook dinner? No way!
The country club again? Accckkk!
Others serve, smile, clean.

Must loosen belt - arrrggghhh!
Many types of stuffing abound...
That wing is MINE, bitch!

Such glorious pies
Pumpkin is an outrage, though
The rest I will eat.

Sneak some more champagne
Go ahead, have another
Pass out on chaise-lounge.

Default I was thinking more of my brother - if he can be bothered to show! He's one of those "I only want

that wing b/c I know you want that wing" types. :-p

Default Hi Momma!

So what're your big projects for next week? Anything cool/fun?

I'm taking some work home - prolly for Mon - Wed day time. But otherwise - it's all free time, that and listening to my family's incessant chattering and banterin' about my brother's wedding! ;-)

Default Would have been more fun if Bob was well, but I'll

probably be picking him up from the hospital on Monday, doing general nice things for him, getting my snow tires on, going to the cleaners, putting the new floor down in the bath, deciding on what color to change my bedroom too....lots of champagne and fireplace time, reading....generally relax ;-D Thankfully, I don't have to do the cook thing. Sammy Boy is taking her Grandmother up to her Dad's and I'm going with Bob to his club. He tells me I'll have an entire bag of leftovers to take home. Yippee, my favorite sandwich is day after T-giving. Huge toast, mayo, layer of cranberry, layer of stuffing, little bit of turkey, lots of freshly ground salt and pepper, then more mayo....mmmmm, better add some long walks to this list ;-D Have fun, dumplin'
