Woohoo, free year of Factory Warranty Coverage
OK, so not really but to me it is. When I bought my 2002 TT last summer the provious owner told me I was covered until the end of October this year. No problem I thought, that was still 15 months away, car only had 13k on the odometer and things were good. Well the car now has over 20k on it and I figured since I was waiting until the very last minute I'd call this morning and schedule my 20k service. The soonest they could get me in was next monday the 31st, which I thought was 2 days after my warranty expired. When I asked if I'd still be covered since I made the appointment before it expired he replied with a date of 10/29/2006.
I couldn't be happier. I thought my car was just a real early 2002 bought in 2001 but I guess not. Guess I should have been a bit more concerned about the warranty but with all the mods I've thrown on it was always in the back of my mind. Now I just have to make sure they don't screw anything up, hopefully this will be the first and last time the dealer see's the car.
On a side note, a public thanks to Steve and his leak detector. It actually helped me track down THREE seperate leaks I had. One was one the passenger side of the intake with that stupidly designed U shaped contraption that has been known to cause problems. The other two were self-induced leaky connections from my FMIC install, one on the DV relocation hose and another on the drivers side FMIC connection. Luckily I was able to get to the T-Bolt clamo by just removing the lower drivers side grill. That was a tricky one, wouldn't leak until it got at least 13 pounds of air pressure and then it was whistling so loud that you couldn't tell what direction it was coming from. Took a lot of trial and error but I found it and I wouldn't have been able to if it wasn't for the Modshack!
