Default Which would you choose????

Hello everybody

I have been a huge fan of TT's since they first came out and will am looking to purchase one in the next month or two.

Before I do, I need some of you guy's expert opinions: I cannot decide between getting a 2000 Quattro TT or a 2001 Quattro TT. I know that buying a 2000 will save me quite a bit of money and I have been lucky enough to find ones that have pretty low mileages.

Does anybody know if there is a significant different between a 2000 and a 2001 power, options wise?

Also, for the 180Q owners, do you find your vehicle to be underpowered at all???

Thanks in advance and what an awesome site this is

Mike

Default 2000 Audi TTs are actually 1988 Buick Regals in disguise

go with the 2001....because no one wants a fancy Buick Regal.

I have a 2000 CQ with 45K.
The power was ok but I had APR 93 octane chip installed and that made a BIG difference.

Check to see if the 2000 had the 2 recalls done. One replaced most of the suspension and added the spolier. If the recall was not done...usually the spoiler was not installed, this might be a good deal.

On the 2001, is it the 225 or 180 if 225 much better deal as you can get more HP/torque than the 180 but it will have the later suspension.

Also, both years had some items that had problems. The instrument cluster, fuel sending unit, diverter valve, MAF to name a few. All can be replaced real easy.

With that said, check the warranty. The 2000 only had a 3 yr/50K while the 2001 has a 4yr/50K.

Hope this helps.
