Would you REALLY buy a stage III for a 225 car?
from what i've found from talking to some tuners around the U.S., our cars are a total bitch to make a kit for. anyone who's crawled under their car knows how cramped it is, how odd the downpipe is, and how different the turbo looks. i'm curious how many people would actually buy a kit if this kit was from a reputable company you easily already trust and it put out an easy 350hp on 91 gas. don't know what it'd put out on 100, but my car gained 40 wheel hp, so you can guess. and then lets say this kit was around $6k (as apposed to MTM's $10k). kit required custom header, kickass turbo, custom downpipe(s), external waste gate, injectors, etc.,etc.. I'm wondering how many of you would save up for it....in actuality. i'd like to give these guys an idea. i REALLY want them to market it.

this kit you speak of.. it sounds very similar to the PES kit..
6k? for 350hp.. nah I don't think that will be enough power... if it was more in the area of 390 on 93.. yeah.. that would work..

for extra $10k, I would trade in to M3 (350hp?) for $6k, maybe..remember car might have problems aft
er get modified.
As I am student, I will not have time for my car when the school start.

Thats a REALLY big turbo then...
The bigger the turbo, the less drivable the car becomes.
That's why I am going to go with the O.CT stage 3 kit if I can get a gaurantee that it will pass california emissions tests.
Yeah, 350hp requires a big big turbo, about a K26 turbocharger.
The price seems too good to be true, so who exactly is this "reputable company" you speak of?

well, what would 350hp on 91 be, on 93?
it'd be close to your 390hp. obviously it's a guessing game, but i'd think it couldn't be too far off. i do know the turbo was in it's comfortable design range. so if it was given more boost??? i just want the damn thing to get a green light. i agree, the O.TC kit seems rediculously expensive.

Isn't APR supposed to be working on this?
I thought APR was designing a kit to do exactly this. Obviously, from all the waiting, and rumors, it seems like it will never actually happen, but I thought that was what they were shooting for. 350HP on 91-octane for about 6-grand. If they ever actually do it I'll be the first guy sending them a check.

There are already 2-3 360hp kits out there >>>
But cost 11k..... But when Mr. Warranty is gone, which will be about when APR/OCT release Stg III, I probably will send a check, especially if we are nearing 400hp on 100.....
