installed my dieselgeek ss and vf-engineering motor mount tonite i can already feel the difference shifting is so much smoother and car feels the flow so much better.
front mount will be in tomorrow, hopefully install of that and everything else will be done by thurs.

ive only driven a lil plus all my factory stuff (plus front skid gaurd) in my trunk so i havent tested it too much, but can still tell its a huge improvement. ill let you know after tomorrow and some heavier driving.

original...i heard the race was a cheap metal. and my friend has a ss on her car that shortens the side to side and i hate it, the 5 gears feel like they fit in front of where 1st should be

Default Hmmm -- can't compare

except to the stock, and the race is definitely less substantial than it. There is only one part that looked like it might be a bit fragile -- but it seems fine to me.

Looking at the install pics for the original, and it appears to be the stock piece modified -- so you may be right -- definitly more substatial, however I've never heard any problems with the race...

Default Race isn't cheap material at all... It's pretty sturdy...

It removes the large counterweight from the factory piece. And if properly done, no, it doesn't give that all gears together feeling.
