Just got a call from CPT, where my car is to have the power steering line replaced. Al asked what fluid I used when I replaced my steering rack. He said it's the wrong color -- it's red. I told him I used this:

I also left the can with what was left in it in the front seat. So he checked the can, called back and said "this stuff is green" (which is correct) "but the stuff coming out of the steering rack is red." I told him I used whatever is in the can when I refilled the reservoir.

We are scratching our heads. Maybe the new steering rack had fluid in it? But wouldn't it cycle through when I filled the reservoir and started the engine? Maybe Al is colorblind?

I used the same Pentosin power steering fluid recently, it's green, reminded me of lime jello.
