Default X-drilled vs. slotted rotors. What rotors are good? Heard some of them get clogged...

Please help me choose rotors that won't get clogged either in slotted or X-drilled.

Brembo? Zimmerman?

Got Zimmermans for my A6 and they got clogged full of dust which made them use-less!

Also looking for pads and brake lines. About to buy "Goodridge G-Stop Brakeline Kit" from Tire Rack. And than Mintex Red Box. Those good? Any better place to buy them? Linky?

TIA

Default Brembo and Zimmerman are both good.

Just put X-drilled rotors on a 1000 miles ago with redbox pads. They work a lot better than stock rotors and pads in the rain. Slotted rotors may get clogged but it shouldn,t be too hard to clean out the slots. Don't believe drilled rotors would get clogged.

Default If you track the car get slotted rotors...>

Slots let the gases out as the pads 'melt' with high heat on the track. Drilled are not advised for the track due to possible cracking with high heat and pressure.

For street drilled rotors give a bit more bite in the rain and I think they look cool, but smooth are fine and you won't have any issues with crap building up in the holes or slots.

Skip drilled rotors. Fills up with brake dust. PITA. Get plain or slotted.
