on the driver's side side mirror. It seems like a good idea to me, but I don't know what placement is best. I was thinking about getting one of the small stick on ones at Discount Auto Parts or some such place.

Thanks in advance...
Ivan

Default I recall this subject from a couple of months ago...

...if I remember correctly they are factory fitted by Audi in Europe but not in the USA, Brad, amongst others, ordered one from somewhere and fitted it. There was also a few pics from somebody who fitted one. A search may be a good idea because I reckon this was having as much coverage as Zaino at one time.

Default S'what I use Ivan. Little 2" diameter convex ones mounted w/self-adhesive backings to the lower

outside of each rear view mirror. They're lifesavers against "blind spot" traffic and parallel parking close to a curb. Less than 2 bucks each at any car parts chain, ie; Pep Boys, AutoZone, Checker, etc. Now if I could just find them with the same bluish tint our stock rear-views have.

Default I have been using one from Fred Meyer

altho I suspect that most auto parts places have them... it is retangular with rounded corners and nestles nicely in the lower right corner of the driver's rear view mirror... works well for me.

Default Thanks, Mike. There may have been a discussion about this, but what Brad and TTeaser have is...

a completely different mirror that has a seam at the outer 1/3 and that part of the mirror is magnified or something.

I'll look in the archives.
Ivan

Since getting TT, neck muscles have strengthened a lot! How about a rear mounted minicam w/fisheye?

Default Loaded question! The one in my sig pic is the Audi one. Mine was junk and I got my $$ back...

As of last week I have the Colgan bra, bought through http://www.autoanything.com aka Blue Ribbon Automotive.

This product is better made and designed but has three flaws. One, it comes with covers for the headlight washers that DO NOT FIT and are probably for an A4 or A6. Two, the cutouts for the same headlight washers are not squarely around the washers and the washer covers stick open slightly when used. Three, the directions that came with the bra are photocopied, which is really messed up since the directions are photos and you can't see what they are talking about.

To be fair, I have not gone back to Blue Ribbon or Colgan for an explanation since life has been too busy to worry about little stuff like car bras!

I REALLY like the way Zorro looks with the front end cover on, though.
Ivan

Default Thanks. I'll take the $4 route for now, instead of $150! Good link, tho.
