Default No, it plays through the OEM Head Unit, using whatever amp you have connected...

you do need to have the adapter plugged into the CD Changer cable. Follow the link to read it all.

Default What was the deal about the Bose changer AUX input?

Honistly I think if you needed X amount of people to sign up ahead of time I can't imagine you would not get them. I for sure want at least 2. I would be willing to pay well for the units. Since it sure saves me some cash to keep the unit I already have installed rather then rip everything out.

Default It's too costly, and it takes too much time to assemble it...

to be a cost-effective alternative.
I have nearly 25 people interested in this, and I have not even opened it up to the A4, A6, allroad group.
It would take an outlay on my side of some $400-500 to buy the parts in the quantity needed, to build some 30 units. It takes approx. 3 hrs to fabricate and assemble each one, due to the hard-wiring and all-hand assembly of this.
My initial consumer costs were around $50. I cannot afford the time, nor absorb the cost to make these units at that price.
Blitz-safe is supposedly working on such a device, for release shortly.
I'm sure their costs would be in the $75-+100 range, based on the fact that the unit I bought was $69.95.
I would need a commitment from say 25 people, at close to $75 to make this work.

I don't feel that I can ask those interested for that amount of money up front, and I cannot yet garrantee this unit will work, nor give them a firm date for delivery.
Add to this, that 25% of the intial inquireies want a "Custom" adaptation to this unit.

Understand that I am struggling with this, because this should be an easy modification for all.
I wish all that want to take adavantage of this, can.

Default Argghhh.....I was really looking forward to that.

But I understand if you don't have the time. I would gladly pay $75 for it.
