2008 TT spare tire
I'm looking for spare wheel and tire for a 2008 Audi TT 3.2 Quatro roadster, I understand that it is an 18" wheel with 5 X 112 pattern. A part # that I found is 1J0601027M03C which is an 18" VW wheel. I don't know if it is the right bolt pattern and offset. They can't tell me at the Audi dealer. Can anyone offer any insight on this? Thanks, Scott

Some information
If you do a search of this forum, there has been extensive discussion of spares but most of it has focused on the 2L engine. The 3.2 has larger brakes than the 2L and has the same brakes as the TTS.
Here are solutions to the 2L which may work for the 3.2. Worst case is if you get a front flat you move the good rear tire to the front and use the spare on the rear which will definitely clear.
1. The VW compact spare that you have found
2. The compact spare from recent model A4
3. The compact spare from a Mk 3 TT (same bolt configuration as the Mk 2) #1-3 are about $450 from the dealer. Look for salvage /used.
4. Compact blow-up spare from an older Mercedes SL500 (new are very expensive and used ones are prone to dry rot due to age)
5. "Almost full size spare" for the 2L, buy the cheapest 16" rim and use a cheap 205/16 tire to get to the right diameter. This is what I carry because it is about $150 new and I can store stuff in the rim "well" and has no mileage or speed restrictions the compact spare has.
