Default Aftermarket head unit for my TT

Guys -

My GF bought a 2008 TT (V6 Manual) that came with factory satnav and the slide-down screen that reveals the CD slot. We were dismayed by the fact that her car didn't come with a backup camera. Years ago, my e46 M3 had the same problem and the stereo there was some oddball shape. Through the forums, I got directed to a head unit made by a company called Eonon that made a box specifically for the e46 3-series. For the price, the thing was phenomenal! Fit like a glove in the dash! The amp on my car was in the trunk, so running a fat wire bundle was a pain. But the backup camera and bluetooth audio made it feel like a whole new vehicle! I don't remember if it worked naively, or if I had to do some add-on, but even my steering controls worked!! Many friends commented on the fact they were surprised than an '02 had such a nice system and nobody suspected that it was aftermarket.

Questions about the TT:
1. Is the hole in the TT dash a standard 2-DIN, or is it some oddball size?
2. Does anyone how how deep the hole is?
3. Is the amp in the back someplace?
4. Is there any trick to get the steering controls to work with an aftermarket head unit on the TT?
5. Does anyone have recommendations for specific brand/model that works well for this car? Requirements:
a. Must have Bluetooth audio playback (car-phone is OK, but not required)
b. Must have an aux port for rear camera plug-in.
c. Would be nice to have a satellite radio plug-in.
d. Must look to match the rest of the car - not super flashy.

Thanks in advance.

I went through this last year. I have an amazing local 12V wizard near me so he did the install. I supplied all the mounting/install cables & he got me a Pioneer AVH-X2800. I ordered 100% of all the cables/parts from Enfig. I got the following:
- Wiring Harness: http://enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_SRWH_AUD3_HILO.html
- Steering Wheel Controls: http://enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_SWCL_PIO.html
- Converts the Blaupunkt style connection into a connection specific to your radio: http://enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_PNP_PIO0237.html
- Antenna Adapter for AM/FM Radio: http://enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_AAA_VWAUD5.html
- Dash Kit: http://enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_RMK5_TT2.html
- 19 foot (600cm) Satellite Antenna Adapter allows you to use your factory Sirius antenna with your aftermarket Sirius radio: http://enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_SAA_SIR_600_GREEN.html

Notes:
- My guy also got me a Sirius tuner to go with the Pioneer HU.
- For the aftermarket phone mic, I had this installed in the factory location in my convertible. I don't like it and will be relocating it closer to the steering wheel this year. Sounded bad in the factory location.

Enfig was GREAT to deal with. I'm in canada, so I had to add about 30% exchange rate, but was worth it. Here is the list of parts/order including a snapshot of my invoice from Enfig: Enfig Car Stereo - Factory Radio integration and Replacement Specialists - iPhone Bluetooth AUX << EnfigCarStereo.com iphone Android AUX Bluetooth & Radio replacement specialists
