Aux input

Aux input
I've searched but didn't find good info. Can anyone help? I have 2008 TT (duh) with stock radio, BT and iPod interface in the glovebox. I don't need iPod but would like to connect my phone to stereo. Really just need an AUX input. Manual is very "helpful" and says that "Your dealer or audio installer can add auxiliary input for additional components" or something like this. It says that when added you can listen to it by pressing CD 3 times to get to AUX menu. The question of the day is what do I need to get this AUX input? Is there a way to use CD-changer interface in the glovebox, now occupied with iPod adapter (I don't need it and can remove it), to get AUX in? Or is there some harness I need to attach behind the radio? Perhaps there is some BT stereo A2DP adapter I can use to wirelessly stream from phone to stereo? Can someone point me to the right direction?

It's installed in the rear centre console on the 09 TT/TTS.
Where your phone prep is (or was) located is now a rubber lined tray. At the front most side of the tray is an input for a small headphone sized jack. Once this is installed in your vehicle, the car needs to be coded for it. If your Audi dealer installs the Aux-In, they will do that as well. If you are doing the install, it can be activated using a VAG-COM tool.

Phone prep changed really late in the 08 builds.
If you have phone prep then you aren't wired for aux-in. If you have aux-in then you aren't wired for phone prep.

I see Damn. Will try to figure this on next trip to my dealer... If they know anything about this... Is there any AUX input in the back of the radio? I went to few places to figure this out and so far no one could provide any decent answer. One place offered to "take things apart and figure out if it can be done", quoting $200-400 for labor + parts if needed "if they can do it". Didn't exactly inspired confidence in me so I passed on the offer.
