Default Brake pad advice? Let dealer replace them under TSB... or where to find Hawk pads?

My 3.2 is going in for 5k service next week and the brake pads have been squeeling for a long time. There's that TSB out there instructing the dealers to replace them, but from my understanding the reason they need to be replaced is because the OEM pads on the MKII are some made in china junk.... Letting the dealer replace them is all well and good, but I understand they're replacing them with the same made in china junk OEM pads...

..If Audi isn't really going to address the problem, I was considering getting a set of Hawk pads, but there lies another problem... ECS and others don't seem to have pads for the 3.2 MKII for some reason. So, I need to know where I could pick them up and what part numbers I need..

Default Where'd you find the pads?

I got my last set of HPS' from ECS for my S4 in the spring and they don't seem to have them available for the TT...

Default Re: Brake pad advice? Let dealer replace them under TSB... or where to find Hawk pads?

Justin (or anyone else): I too suffer from the dreaded brake squeal on my 2008 3.2 (10K miles). It was really bad during the last three weeks as it was brutally cold here in Germany (single digits F) but the noise went away now that the temps have warmed up. I would like to get my pads replaced under warranty. Does anyone know the TSB # for this problem?

For anyone who has not experienced the "TT Squeal", you will be amazed and embarrased at how loud it is. As loud as a beat up school bus.

Default I plan to .... however,

everyone who's done it says it works for a week, and then the problem recurs. Why won't anyone post information about the HPS pads - like whether they, or any other aftermarket pad, is available for our cars? Is this not a legitimate question?? C'mon Lord.
