Default Can sound tube on 3.2 be removed
or blocked. Would installing a CAI eliminate the effect of the tube?

I don't have a tt, but have heard of this sound tube thing. What is it exactly?

Default sounds like a foreign reference to the muffler
kinda like "check-boards" or "back wheel drive"

Default It's actually a tube connected to the intake tract to bring induction sound into the cabin...
THe 3.2 has it but I believe the 2.0 does not. The sound tube can be removed but many people just chose to put a gasket at the base of the tube to block it off.

I know the 2.0TFSI has one, not sure about the 3.2

It's not real bad sound. I just don't like it. Can't understand why any mfg would want to do this. Give it the right exhaust and you don't need sound tubes!!!

Are you sure? I don't think the base 2.0 has one. (do you mean the TTS 2.0?)
