Default Which colour should I buy

There are 3 TTs on the table right now.
A 2010 S Line with 142000 km in Monza Silver $16 800 taxes in
A 2010 Base with 128 000 km in Ibis White $16 800 taxes in
A 2009 Base with 120 000 km in Brilliant Red $15 255 taxes in

All of them are in great mechanical and cosmetic shape.

My problem is I love all 3 colours.
Help. Are there concerns about resale, paint fading, keeping it clean, paint swirls and scratches showing...

Please send your advice my way.

This FAQ may help you decide due to MY changes. https://forums.fourtitude.com/showth...-MK2-TT-a5-FAQ For example, in 2009, quattro was an option so what does this 2009 have? In 2010 it was standard. The S line has 19" rims for more grip but slightly rougher ride. Red and silver TTs are relatively scarce. Silver is less prone to show rock chips on the front end. Check the engine code of the 2009. As stated in the FAQ, it could have a timing belt that needs to be replaced ASAP due to age.

The 2009 is quattro. All of them are automatics as well. Is there a reason they are scarce? Does no one like them?

It's not just the TT. Over 75% of the cars sold in the US are monochromatic and I assume the same in Canada. It's a chicken and egg question. Monochromatic paints are "safe" so that is what dealers order so that is what is on the lots for sale. Audi offers very few color choices on the TT. Typically in any model year TT Audi North America offered 7 monochromatic paints plus a red, a blue, and something else (yellow for the Mk 3). While silver is in the monochromatic spectrum, dealers mostly ordered TTs in blacks, dark grays, and whites and almost all with black interiors Apparently Audi executives are either Amish or into Goth. I get at least one comment from a stranger a month saying how they love my Scuba blue color, in part because they see so few cars with colored paint. Unless you select a really weird color, like the powder blue paint offered in the Mk 1 for a few years, paint color has little impact on resale. You can go to Edmunds.com and see how the price of a used car changes with colors.
I assume the 2009 is a 2L engine?
You asked about showing dirt. Silver seems to show dirt the least as well as the best paint for not showing rock chips.

Thank you so much for your insight. I am not sure why I never thought of this. Can you tell me if this is a engine with a timing belt or timing chain. I saw this 2009, no option stickers to be found though. I think it has a belt.
