ContiSport3 - What kind of milage did you get out of them?

ContiSport3 - What kind of milage did you get out of them?
I'm at 17K miles, and I noticed that the two front ContiSport3 tires were at their wear marks. At first I wasn't too surprised, but then I took a look at the rears and they're down to the wear marks too.
Seems a bit too fast given that 95% of my driving is straight-line freeway.
Any one else go through the Conti's faster than they thought reasonable?
Oh, and what the F happened to tire prices? The Conti's are like 300+ each and the PS/2 are 400+. I guess these were made when oil prices were are their peak!
