Default I would like recommendations on tire dimensions.

Hi! I am new here at the forum. I live in Norway. I'm going to buy new wheels 8.5X19 ET42. what tire size do you recommend? 245 / 35-19 or 255 / 30-19. I plan to install coilovers so I get the car lower.

Not sure the difference in years or models. But for reference, my '13 TTS came with Audi 9x19 ET52 wheels and 255/35R19 tires. I'm still on the original tires, but soon will replace with same size tires. You can see them on my build thread in this forum.

Hi! You who drive with original rims and tires, I think the original rims are 9x19 not 8.5x19 that I will buy. original rims do not have ET 42, I think original ET52

Correct. You must have replied as I was editing that information into my post.

This site compares wheel dimensions and offsets that might help you. Again, for your reference if needed.

Thank you for your information. It's possible I started this thread a little wrong. What I wonder is about 8.5X19 ET42 fits the TT RS without any problems when I make the car lower? What fits best on a 8.5-wide rim on a lowered TT RS? Will there be trouble with the 255 / 35-19 tires? Is it better to use 245 / 35-19 or (245 / 30-19), then there will be a bit better space in the fender. I know someone who can rolling of the fenders so there's more space for wheels, 15mm more space, but prefer to avoid rolling fender's mutch. Sorry for the bad language I live in Norway.

When you find someone experienced lowering a TTRS, I'd wager you'll also find someone experienced replacing the belly pan...

Hey!I m from Norway. can you explain What you think? experienced replacing the belly pan...?
I am aware that when driving with a lowered car, I can not drive it as normal. I have to drive very carefully where it is not quite right and nice road. Is that the bottom of the car you think I'm going to spoil ?
Never received this comment from anyone before and I've been in contact with many who drive lowering TT RS.

My comment was meant to be taken lightly. While I think the TTRS is low enough already, I've seen many pics of lowered models, they look great. I drive in Arkansas, and I have to avoid a lot of drives in the area to prevent scraping the pavement, and I am not lowered. I rubbed the concrete a bit last weekend visiting a friend - no curb, just a steep enough slope between the drive and the road. I knocked the cover / belly pan off my old 2009 TT before I learned to be extra careful. That model ran a bit taller than than my RS.
