New 2013 TT RS owner here / RNS-E questions
He all, happy to say I’m back after many years. Sold my B6 S4 Avant in 2009...and still miss it dearly.
I recently bought the TT RS in Suzuka Grey and love it! It’s going to be my fair weather DD in this world of disappearing manual transmissions, lol.
My plan is not to mod it (always seems to start out that way) but was wondering about updates for the RNS-E. Any recommendations for map and firmware updates? Is it a straightforward process to update? I read somewhere the dealer has to perform a firmware but based on some forum posts that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Lucky for me, Enfig is nearby and I plan on having them install a BT adapter so I can stream some audio.
Should be picking up a curbed wheel today or tomorrow that I’m having repaired (previous owner).
Otherwise just cleaning up some chassis grease mess I happened to find behind the right rear wheel liner. Three more corners to go!

Hey my guy,
on the updated navi. you need to insert a CD that audi provides each year. though you can easily purchase one off ebay for a reduced price. 1 cd for the updated firmware and 2nd cd that needs to be inserted every time you want to use the map.
its nice to have but tbh youre better off using your phone. the way its set up for you too look things up take a long time to scroll through each letter.
