Default Ordering a TTS Roadster, but stumbled upon an unknown extra ...

I'm ordering S-tronic and apparently there's a shorter stick available with aluminum finish. Does anyone have pictures of this? It seems like a new optional extra to me, as I've never before found it in the configurator.

BTW, I live in Belgium. So the standard configuration is most likely different from US. Maybe you get this stick as standard. I just don't know. Dealer couldn't come up with a picture either, but it seems to me that the normal gear lever is already aluminum (look anyway) ...

Thanks lads.

Default Short shifter is available only on the s-line and only with manual ...

353S, I know you know this, but the short shifter refers to the length of the shift throw, not the length of the shifter itself. I have it in my TT-R and love it.

Yup... It is available as a standalone option in Europe, not like here where you order the S-line.

Default No, it's definately for s-tronic. I have it on my order list.

I knew about the availability for manual, so it was a surprise to find it with s-tronic. Also the use of aluminum as opposed to "aluminum look". Although i'm not sure about that last one, it probably still is the "look" of aluminum.

So any pics of a shorter shift with more aluminum?

on the "aluminum look", i thought audi made a big point of all their interior materials being the real deal, rather than say faux aluminum. can anyone confirm?

Default I know for a fact that the mirrors on the TTS are faux aluminum

and I think that every other bit like center console, door grips etc are "alu look" as well.

It's one of the big critiques on the MK2.

The ASF ofcourse does contain real aluminum.
