About $70 at the Apple store. Probably cheeper online somewhere.

Bluetooth still works perfectly....
... I was wondering the same thing before getting the system.
Basically if you're listening to a song on the iPhone and a call comes in, the song fades down and Bluetooth takes over. So you take the call through the Audi's speakers and microphone as ususal. The iPhone's speaker and Mic are not used, which is what you want.
When the call finishes you're returned to the iPod function through the aux.
Works perfectly.

I have a TTS Roadster on order
with Bose and iPod connectivity (sat nav). I'm sorry for possibly asking the same question as a lot of people have before, but I'm just not sure what will work.
I don't have iPod or iPhone, I have a Sony Ericsson cell phone with sd card for music. So I'm guessing that the sd card will work in the sat nav system. The iPod integration only works with "track 1" etc.
The setup you have looks pretty nice! Will I be able to get an iPhone or iPod to work (music only is enough, don't need the cell phone to interact with the car) with the options I have or should I have ordered something else? Is this "aux" thing you speak of in each TTS?

As discussed in posts below your 2009 TTS will not have iPod connectivity...
... so you will NOT be able to attach an iPod/iPhone to the car directly. An aux jack is provided instead. The iPod system was discontinued for '09 models because it kinda sucked.
My system works great, but remember that it won't display any track info on the Nav screen and you can't use the Audi's controls to change tracks.
The Nav does take SD cards. I suggest you get a separate pair of cards and keep the one in your phone since putting them into the Nav requires the long (but cool) process of making your Nav screen slide open to reveal the DVD drive and SD card holders.

I'm curious about that iPod connectivity though. It is listed on my order sheet! So good or bad, I do expect it to turn up. Maybe it is discontinued for the US only. I live in Belgium.
The system you have comes from the Apple store you say? What is it called? So changing the track is not possible in your setup via the car itself. I suppose the volume controls do work on the steering wheel etc?
Thank you for the information.

Ahh, I don't know about European orders...
... your car may have the iPod system then. However that may mean that the way I wire up my phone may not work on your model. I'm not completely familiar with the '08's but I believe either the power or the aux jack didn't work.
The system I'm using is called the Kensington LiquidAUX for iPhone and iPod. Below is a link to the US Apple store, but I don't know if you can get to that page from Belgium.
And yes you do use the car's console and steering wheel controls to adjust the volume.

Kensington LiquidAUX for iPhone and iPod

I bought one recently for my TT and it works like the Kensington. Only difference is that the Griffin puts addition buttons on the charging unit so while you're driving you can skip forward and backward on a song and play or pause it without having to fumble with the iphone controls. It also glows to show status which is nice when the cabin is dark.

http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/autopilot</a
