hello brothers.

i recently talked to a wrap artist in detroit who he said he'd have to partially dismantle the body of my 2013 TTRS to wrap it, and this definitely gave me pause. was wondering if anyone with wrapping experience (either doing it or getting it done) had any insight to this. does wrapping *necessarily* require partial dismantling? what experiences have you had with the car afterwards, any issues? TIA.

Not sure what he means by "dismantling." While I've not had mine wrapped, I have a couple friends who have had theirs done and it usually entails the GPS / Satellite antenna coming off the roof, the door handles coming off, Audi rings on rear lift gate come off, the trim on the bottom of the door transom, and possibly the grills on the front bumper. Other than that, most everything can be stretched and pushed into the crevices.

if you want a good job, they def have to dismantle your car. it will depend on your comfort level in letting them do it, and how good the shop is
