Radio unlock code?
 

I recently had to disconnect my battery and now the radio is asking for a security code. Unfortunately I couldn't find the security code in any of the manuals that came with the car. I contacted AoA via chat and they referred me to the dealer. I called a few dealers and all of them want me to bring the car in... I have the VIN and the radio's serial number, and I found a few third party websites that all claim to be able to generate a code for a small fee, but most of them look pretty sketchy.... Is the dealer truly the only option?

I had the same issue a few years back, and was able to get the code through Audi Chat. They just needed to verify the VIN and the radio's serial number. They later followed up with an email from AudiCustomerExperienceCenter@audi.com with a confirmation of the code. Might be worth emailing them or calling instead: (800) 822-2834

Unfortunately they have a new policy and they can no longer provide unlock codes and refer you to the dealer.
