For those with tint, what did you do about the dot matrix?
I stopped by a tint shop earlier today, and the person said that because of the dot matrix that goes around the perimeter of the back window and back side windows, there'd be a white space (air bubble) if tint were placed.
What did other tint places do?
Is there anyway around this?
I'm not going get tint if there's going be a white strip around the whole window....

Common problem with tinting the dotted area...
the dots are raised and therefore are not flush. Ive see some really good tint jobs but flush 100 percent is almost impossible in that area.
Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, those things are a pita. Advice though...
I tinted windows for several years. Those dots suck. I hate them. And I always will. There is one thing that helps, but doesn't always fully work. It's certainly worth a try.
Here's what you do. The day after the windows are tinted, take your finger and run it LIGHTLY along the dots. Not a lot of pressure is needed. That basically presses down the film so that it makes contact with the glass. As much contact as possible anyway. Hopefully it will stick. If not, do it again in another few hours or the next day. A new tint job needs a certain amount of drying time so it may not stick immediately. It may only work on part of the dots too...ya never can tell until you do it. Give it a shot...I hope it helps...
