Interesting that the s-line has slightly more tire diameter then any of the 18s. (.35-.4 inch) That would definitely make a difference in lessening the appearance of wheel gap.

For nearly 4 decades , I have used this simple formula :

example for : 235/40 -18 size tire

[ ( 235 x .079) x .4 ] + 18 = 25.43 inches outside tire diameter

.079 is a constant

.4 is used here because it's a " 40 " aspect ratio tire , meaning sidewall height is 40 % of the tire width in mm ( 235 in this case )

18 is the wheel diameter in inches

so , 345/55 - 20 tire's outside diameter would be :

[ ( 345 x .079) x .55 ] + 20 = 34.99 inches
