Default Touch-up paint?

Can anybody recommend a good touch-up paint for my black paint? All this gravel on the road and ice from the cars is brutal. I think I'm going to have some chips on my paint before the winter's over. I just got a chipped windshield from chunks of ice flying off a bimmer. It would have taken only a few minutes for the stupid lady to clear the ice off her car. Instead, she drove on the highway with all that ice and almost caused an accident. I wanted to frikken kill her.

The windshield on the TT seems kinda flimsy compared to my older Audis.

Default Thats why I garage my roadster in the winter

The salt and cinder stones beat the hell out of the paint and canvas top.

Default Yeah, I wish I had a choice

and be able to garage this baby. Unfortunately (or fortunately), it's my daily driver for now.

Default Re: Touch-up paint?

I would assume that thru your local Audi dealership's parts department you could purchase touch-up paint the same code as your car. (We did this with both our Mercedes and will be checking with our Audi dealer to see if they have similar available). We spent 6.5 years living in the mountains in CO and had some very artistic designs on the windshields of our trucks! You're absolutely correct that gravel and ice is brutal on vehicles. Hopefully your damage isn't too severe and your windshield chip can be repaired.

Default Yep, my driver's seat is sagging ...

Audi acknowleging it, or doing anything about it? Have you taken yours to your dealer?? That seat cushion is clearly a design flaw.

Default Not yet....

and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm sure it's only a matter of time after seeing others' seats here.

Default Maybe my insurance can help...

cover a replacement? It's only a chip for now but just in case it propagates, I might just get it replaced.

Default Next time it happens,

I'm following the driver and calling the police. In NJ, the driver is responsible for any damage done by ice falling off their vehicles. Wish I had done that this morning and not gotten worried about getting to work on time.

Default Our insurance pays to fix the chip, no out of pocket. They'd

rather repair a chip than have the customer wait and let it become a crack requiring the windshield to be replaced. Lots of experience with this - my husband's LR3 windshield seems to have a magnetic attraction for rocks. Only vehicle we've had this happen with. I've lost count of the number of times it's been repaired and replaced. For chip repairs they come to his office and fix it there in the parking garage.
