Default TT mk2 to mk2.5 headlight conversion

Hey Guys,
My headlight lenses are all cracked (no- Audi will not change them...) so instead of replacing them with normal MK2 headlights, I wanted to do an Mk2 to Mk2.5 conversion (dat LED Strip doe!). I was wondering if they're compatible with no issues- just plug and play or are there any coding issues that will pop up? Also, does anybody have the part number for the Mk2.5 headlights? I can't seem to find any info online. I can't be the first person to do this!
Any piece of info helps! I have to start getting ready for carshow season!

Thanks,
Tiff.

As far as size they will fit. You will have a voltage issue with the LED strip as they MK2 isn't programed to provide the proper voltage so you'll need to program it to work. If you like projects id say build yourself a custom set as a set of 2.5's are typically $1000-$1500USD depending on what version you get.

thanks so much for your reply!
good to know they'll fit... but I can't even find lenses for the TT, apparently you can only get them from audi? I really don't know enough about this to start a project, but yeah, the mk2.5 headlights are expensiveee. But what do you mean by "which version" I get? Does it have to do with the type of bulb or US vs Euro (so without the yellow corner)?
thanks!
Thanks!

...the whole point to this thread is to see if MK2.5 lenses fit bolt on without issues on an MK2 (pre facelift). I don't have the lenses yet.

Hello Tiff8J.
I do believe the question of whether they will fit or not has been addressed with an affirmative. I am currently in the look to actually do the job so I will post where they were found and how much.

Cheers.

Yeah, sorry, just re-read my reply and it seems harsh! I'm still looking for the part number (which seems to be impossible to find). If you figure it out or find a site that sells them, let me know
