2006 TT electric top
The electric motor closes the top fine. Opening it involves manually pushing the top open to 2/3 position while holding the button and then opens the rest of the way very slowly. Light on the dashboard does go out when it reaches the fully open position. Solution?

1. You have a Mk 1 TT and this is the Mk 2 forum.
2. Sounds like you top motor is ready to die. It takes much less force to close the top than open it.
